Import or export complete documents including geometry information and contents as ASCII files. With ex BoxImport, pictures are exported as path information, text as XPress Tags. The user defines the import and export index as well as the file suffix for the ASCII file in the preferences. Additionally, the user selects whether existing boxes with the same name should be overwritten when importing. If a picture is not found for a defined box, the XTensions module can provide a warning. A palette provides the import and export options in QuarkXPress.
load pictures enables the user to modify existing picture boxes created with the XTensions module. An interface is provided to ex Directory (sold separately). If this XTensions module is present, the import of text with XPress Tags is handled by ex Directory and imports anchored text and picture boxes, even if they are multicolumn boxes.
